"Web Only" User
The "Web only" component is a BHO control, embedded in Internet Explorer, and is used to allow customers or other "outside" users to invoke an interactive communication session with one click from a web page. It is used to invoke no-download chat as well.

Meeting Participant
This application is used for receiving calls. It contains all the controls for audio, video, application sharing, test and other features.

Medianet Switchboard Manager (MSM)
The MSM server and the meeting participant client use digital certificates when communicating, to make sure that the system isn't compromised and is only used by authenticated users. The MSM also manages communications from "Web only" components by routing calls to agents, managing the system user data, and routing instant messaging conversations.

Medianet Communication Manager (MCM)
The MCM server requires a valid certificate, so the communication is secured and verified before it is sent to the intended receiver. All external communication from a "Web only" user will use HTTPS traffic, thus ensuring the security of the communication.
