The Developer, under the guidance and supervision of the Team Leader, develops applications according with the clients' specifications. He is expected to conduct system analysis and development, with limited support from professional staff.
This position will involve working on the development new and extends existed features in "PulsLogic" project (http://www.pulslogic.fo/).
Job Description:
The Developer must possess advanced technical skills. As new technologies emerge and impact our systems, the Developer is expected to learn these technologies quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating them with our systems.
As a Developer you will:
- Develop and write the required code for specific applications.
- Collaborate with Team Leader and other company staff to ensure that the current suite of applications is meeting the clients' needs.
- Draft design documents for all new software applications.
- Document code consistently throughout the development process.
- Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports.
- Review and repair legacy code.
- Keep your project tasks status updated.
- Report status periodically to the Team Leader or his supervisors - by request.
- Train specific clients on the use of the application if required by the company.
- Conduct training for new programming staff if required by the company.
ASP.NET developer skills:
- Knowledge of .NET 2.0 framework and C# language
- Knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
- ASP.NET 2.0 classes and controls, Custom Web controls, ASP.NET AJAX library
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Optional skills:
- Knowledge of .NET 3.0 framework. Focus on Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
- XML web services
- MS SQL server and T-SQL
- GUI design patterns (MVC, Microsoft Web Client factory)
.NET applications developer skills:
- Knowledge of .NET 2.0 framework and C# language
- MS SQL Server 2005 and T-SQL
- ADO.NET 2.0 classes
- Data Access and Business Objects methods and approaches
Optional skills:
- Knowledge of .NET 3.0 framework. Focus on Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
- XML web services
- Design patterns (GOF and Microsoft patterns and practices)
- Microsoft Enterprise Library
The ideal .NET Developer candidate should have:
- Higher education - technical profile.
- Relevant commercial .NET based projects experience of at least 3 years.
- Object Oriented Programming skills and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Source Version Control systems like CVS, Subversion or Microsoft Source Safe.
- Experience in the following areas is considered a plus: Client side scripting (JavaScript), CSS, .NET Framework 3.0 (WWF, WCF), Microsoft SharePoint Server, Business System Integration.
- Good conceptual and analytical thinking, synthesis;
- Experience in prioritizing tasks;
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients;
- Good written and verbal communication skills, in English and Romanian.
